The swiya of the shíshálh people lies between Queens Reach in Jervis Inlet and Howe Sound on the south coast of British Columbia. Under the general supervision of the Health Services Manager, the shíshálh Nation Health Care Assistant will assist in daily living and personal care services in patients' homes in accordance with an established care plan developed by the Home Care Nursing team. The successful applicant will work with clients and families to address health, psychosocial, environmental and functional needs following the “home is best” model, which promotes independence and aims to improve patients’ quality of life in their homes.
