The Opportunity

The Health Care Aide reports to Community Care RN Case Managers and provides personal care and performs tasks within their knowledge and skill set, under supervision, while adhering to standards, policies, and procedures.

What You Will Do
  • Respond to resident/client/family concerns and ensure appropriate action is taken or concerns are communicated to the supervisor.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment, including residents' equipment and belongings.
  • Observe and report safety concerns, implement interventions as directed, and advocate for client safety.
  • Engage with other agencies involved in resident care as directed.
  • Attend in-service training to develop knowledge and skills.
  • Work trustfully with vulnerable adults.
  • Uphold the organization's values related to ethics, morality, and integrity as outlined in the Code of Conduct.
Minimum Requirements
  • Graduate of a Health Care Aide program or equivalent with minimum 500 hours of theory and practicum.
  • Experience working with seniors in community health services.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide personal care duties.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support and First Aid certification recommended.
  • Ability to perform tasks such as lifting/transferring clients.
  • Must provide a current (within six months) Vulnerable Sector Check or be willing to obtain one.
