Job summary

CBI Home Health is hiring Health Care Aides in Taber to support clients in home and community settings. You will provide personal care, assist with mobility, and document changes in condition for the care team.

We offer flexible schedules, full-time/part-time/casual opportunities, and a comprehensive benefits package. A valid license, clean CRC, and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• Active license with CLHA in good standing.
• Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector within 6 months.
• Clear TB test result.
• Reliable vehicle and valid driver3s license.
• Commitment to work every other weekend.
• Strong verbal and written English communication.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs (16 kg).

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to clients in their homes.
• Assist clients to mobilize and perform light exercises.
• Observe and report changes to the manager/supervisor.
• May perform light housekeeping per care plans.

What you will do:

As a caring, responsible health care team member, you will support clients to be as safe and independent in our community settings, as possible, helping them to live their best lives. You will provide personal care to clients in their home, and may assist them to mobilize and perform light exercises. You will act at all times with the client and their family at the heart of all you do, observing, documenting, and reporting any changes in their condition to your Manager/Supervisor. You may be required to perform light housekeeping tasks as indicated in client care plans.

What you will need to be successful:

• Active License and in good standing with the CLHA
• A clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening within the last 6 months
• Proof of a negative TB test within your lifetime
• Reliable vehicle and valid drivers license
• Commitment to work every other weekend
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills, with ability to communicate in other languages an asset
• Reliability and strong organization skills
• Ability to safely lift up to 35 lbs. (16 kg)
