Job summary

CBI Home Health is hiring Health Care Aides to support clients in their homes in Milk River. You will provide personal care, assist with mobility, and help clients live safely and independently.

Applicants must have an active CLHA license, clear RC, and be able to lift up to 35 lbs. A relocation bonus and flexible schedules are offered with full-time, part-time, or casual opportunities.

Qualifications

• Active license with CLHA in good standing.
• Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening within the last 6 months.
• Proof of a negative TB test within your lifetime.
• Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to clients in their homes.
• Assist clients with mobility and light exercises.
• Observe, document, and report changes in client condition to supervisor.
• May perform light housekeeping as indicated in care plans.

What You Will Do

As a caring, responsible health care team member, you will support clients to be as safe and independent in our community settings, as possible, helping them to live their best lives. You will provide personal care to clients in their home, and may assist them to mobilize and perform light exercises. You will act at all times with the client and their family at the heart of all you do, observing, documenting, and reporting any changes in their condition to your Manager/Supervisor. You may be required to perform light housekeeping tasks as indicated in client care plans.

What You Will Need To Be Successful

• Active License and in good standing with the CLHA
• A clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening within the last 6 months
• Proof of a negative TB test within your lifetime
• Reliable vehicle and valid drivers license
• Commitment to work every other weekend
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills, with ability to communicate in other languages an asset
• Reliability and strong organization skills
• Ability to safely lift up to 35 lbs. (16 kg)
