Job summary

CBI Home Health is seeking Health Care Aides in Innisfail, Bowden and Olds to provide compassionate personal care to clients in their homes, helping them stay safe, independent and comfortable in their own surroundings. You will work with a caring team, receive training and benefit from a flexible schedule, a sign-on bonus of 500, and comprehensive benefits.

Weekend work is required on a rotating basis, with travel support as needed.

Qualifications

• Active license and in good standing with CLHA
• Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening within last 6 months
• Proof of a negative TB test within your lifetime
• Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license
• Commitment to work every other weekend
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills; ability to communicate in other languages an asset
• Reliability and strong organization skills
• Ability to safely lift up to 35 lbs. (16 kg)

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to clients in their home and assist with light exercises to support independence.
• Help clients be safe and independent in their home and community settings.
• Observe, document and report changes in client condition to the Manager/Supervisor.
• May perform light housekeeping tasks as indicated in client care plans.

What you will do:

As a caring, responsible health care team member, you will support clients to be as safe and independent in our community settings, as possible, helping them to live their best lives. You will provide personal care to clients in their home, and may assist them to mobilize and perform light exercises. You will act at all times with the client and their family at the heart of all you do, observing, documenting, and reporting any changes in their condition to your Manager/Supervisor. You may be required to perform light housekeeping tasks as indicated in client care plans.
