Job description

The Opportunity:

As a Health Care Aide, you will work as a member of the care team, collaborating on the delivery of resident care. Under the supervision of a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will apply your knowledge and skills to provide a wide variety of safe and thorough basic care and services to residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Work within your full scope of practice to provide resident-focused care.
  2. Observe residents for any changes in their condition and share observations for care planning.
  3. Assist and accompany residents in moving around the community, including walking and participating in activities.
  4. Report any unsafe activities that could cause harm or injury to residents.
Qualifications:
  • Completion of a recognized Health Care Aide certificate course and registration in the Health Care Aide Directory.
  • Fluent in English, both orally and in writing.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and documentation skills.
  • Strong planning, follow-up, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and remain flexible in a demanding environment.
  • Demonstrates AgeCare values with an empathetic attitude when working with others.
