Job Summary

The Personal Support Worker is a member of the home care team who works under the supervision of the Care Coordinator and performs various personal care services as necessary to meet the client’s needs. We are seeking dedicated caregivers in each of the following communities: Hamilton, Ancaster, Stoney Creek, and the surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Assistance with personal care and hygiene
• Meal Preparation
• Light Housekeeping
• Accompany clients on outings
• Shopping and errands
• Medication Assist/ Reminders
• Ambulation and transporting of clients
• Provide companionship to clients
• Ability to follow care-plan
• Documentation/Charting

Qualifications

• Personal Support Worker Certificate or equivalent
• Current CPR/First Aid training or willingness to obtain
• Current vaccination records, including proof of a negative TB skin test or chest X-ray
• Vulnerable Sector Screen
• Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle to travel to and from patient’s residences within a geographical area
• Access to Internet/mobile phone
• Ability to demonstrate compassion and care when interacting with patients
• Reliability and flexibility
• Passion for making a difference in your community
