Your role with clients

As a caring, responsible healthcare team member, you will support clients to be as safe and independent as possible in our community settings, helping them live their best lives. You will provide personal care in clients’ homes, assist with mobilization and light exercises, and observe, document, and report any changes in their condition to your Manager/Supervisor. Light housekeeping tasks as indicated in care plans may also be required.

What You Will Need To Be Successful
  • Your Health Care Aide Certificate or Equivalent
  • A clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening within the last 6 months
  • Proof of a negative TB test or Chest X-Ray
  • Commitment to work every other weekend
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License and reliable vehicle for community travel
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills; additional languages are an asset
  • Reliability and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to safely lift up to 35 lbs (16 kg)
