We are currently searching for Health Care Aides to join our team. We have multiple positions available, from part-time to full-time, on both day and evening shifts. These positions are located at our Leduc location.

Position Summary

Under the direction of a Licensed Practical Nurse and Supervisor, the Health Care Aide will collaborate with their team to ensure resident care is delivered in a way that acknowledges resident choice, dignity, privacy, independence, and individuality, inclusive of a home-like environment.

What You Bring to the Role:
  • Recognized Health Care Aide Certificate
  • Registered on the Alberta HCA Directory
  • Experience working with the elderly and disabled (preferred)
  • Palliative Care experience (asset)
  • Ability to deliver, practice, and role-model person-centered care, respecting residents and families as equal partners in care planning
  • Demonstrates emotional intelligence
  • Strong interpersonal skills with effective communication in both written and verbal English
  • Ability to work with exposure to infection and infectious diseases
Your Responsibilities:
  • Provide quality service according to the care plan
  • Assist residents with personal care, meal service, mobility, recreational activities, and leisure activities as applicable
  • Carry out authorized procedures for specific resident needs
  • Accurately report and document all service hours and activities
  • Assist with medication administration as per standards
  • Report observations and concerns to healthcare professionals
  • Interact daily with residents' family members and caregivers
  • Physically able to assist with all aspects of resident care and transport, including walking, standing, bending, and lifting
