The role of a Health Care Aide involves assisting clients with daily activities such as bathing, eating, exercises, hygiene, providing companionship, light housekeeping, and meal preparation. Typically working with seniors and individuals requiring care at home or in facilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized care based on care plans.
• Communicate effectively with clients, staff, and Nurse Managers.
• Collaborate with clients, families, and team to improve quality of life.
• Build strong relationships with clients and families.
• Monitor and report health changes to Nurse Managers.
• Document via mobile app.

Support Areas

• Personal care: bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting.
• Medication assistance as directed by Nurse Manager.
• Meal planning and preparation.
• Light housekeeping and transportation assistance.
• Social engagement and companionship.

Requirements

• Health Care Aide Certification or equivalent.
• Registration on Alberta HCA Directory.
• Valid HCP/BLS CPR Certification or willingness to obtain.
• Vulnerable Sector Police Check within last 6 months or willingness to obtain.
• Driver's license and willingness to drive.
