HEALTH CARE AIDE (HCA)

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Support residents in participating in activities of daily living (e.g., dressing, bathing, toileting, personal grooming & mobility);
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents and families;
  • Ensure that care is provided according to the person’s wishes, preferences and care plan.

What You Bring

  • Completed HCA certification;
  • Demonstrated compassion, accountability and respect;
  • Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English;
  • Ability to meet the physical and cognitive demands of the job (e.g. bending, lifting, walking, attention to detail, ability to multi-task).
