Bayshore is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Personal Caregiver to join our esteemed team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional care and support to our clients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and overall well-being.

Work Area:

Red Deer and all surrounding areas.

Availability Required:

Friday (16:00) - Tuesday (08:00)

Requirements:
  • HCA Certificate (Asset)
  • HCA Directory Registration (Required)
  • Negative TB Test from within the last 6 months
  • Clear Vulnerable Sector Check from within the last 6 months
  • Reliable vehicle with the ability to drive within all of Red Deer and surrounding areas, including highways, night, and winter conditions
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide homemaking services such as cleaning, cooking, laundry, and household management
  • Offer companionship and accompany clients to community activities and events
  • Administer personal care services as per care plan directives
  • Ensure clients’ emotional, spiritual, and physical comfort and safety
  • Assist with activities of daily living tailored to clients’ needs
  • Perform specialized procedures with demonstrated current competency
  • Observe and document client conditions, report changes or unusual events
  • Implement infection prevention practices

Additional Requirements:

  • Completion of an accredited caregiver training program or equivalent education and experience
  • Strong caregiving principles and customer service knowledge
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English; French is an asset
  • Ability to physically assist clients, lift up to 23 kg, squat, bend, stand, and reach
  • Reliable transportation; driver’s license and vehicle are assets
  • Clear Criminal background check with Vulnerable Sector Check
