We are currently seeking Part-Time and Casual HEALTH CARE AIDES to cover the Maple Ridge area.

Position Summary:

Provides home support services to clients, including assistance with activities of daily living, delegated tasks with transfer of function training, meal planning and preparation, and light housekeeping.

Position responsibilities:
  • Follow Care Plans and maintain accurate client records
  • Build effective relationships with clients to promote independence
  • Understand accountability and expectations for delegated tasks
  • Communicate client condition changes to supervisors and collaborate with team members
  • Prioritize client safety and seek support from Nurse Supervisors for medical or ethical issues
Qualification required:
  • Community Health Worker (CHW) or Health Care Aide (HCA), certified with BC Care Aide Registry
  • Seeking coverage for 2-hour shifts daily
  • Healthcare experience
  • Current First Aid (Standard) / CPR Level C certification
  • Valid driver’s license and vehicle
  • Immunization record including TB test within past 12 months
  • Vulnerable Sector Check upon hire
  • Availability for days, evenings, including weekends
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Problem-solving and conflict management skills
  • Basic computer/smartphone skills are an asset
  • This position is physically demanding, requiring dexterity, sensory ability, lifting up to 55 pounds, walking, climbing stairs, standing, bending, and reaching
