Job summary

A leading health care organization in Winnipeg is seeking a Health Care Aide. The successful candidate will provide essential health care services and should have a Health Care Aide Certificate or equivalent nursing coursework. 1-2 years of relevant experience is required, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to foster positive relationships. This position includes a requirement for a current Criminal Records Check.

Position Overview
Experience
  • Minimum of 1-2 years recent relevant experience essential.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
  • Health Care Aide Certificate from a recognized college, and/or successful completion of all required second year Baccalaureate Nursing Program courses is essential.
Certification/Licensure/Registration
  • BCLS and/or Heart Saver (plus 2 man) where required.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Written and verbal command of the English language essential.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships.
Physical Requirements

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.

Please note that an employee is not permitted to hold two or more positions across the WRHA legal entity that combine to equal more than 1.0 EFT. The WRHA legal entity includes Churchill Health Centre, Deer Lodge Centre, Golden West Centennial Lodge, Grace Hospital, Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg, Pan Am Clinic, River Park Gardens, Victoria General Hospital, WRHA corporate programs, and WRHA community health services.
