HEALTH CARE AIDE LEAD/MEDICATION CARE PARTNER

Temporary Part Time (Friday-Monday)

What you will bring:

  • Willingness to learn and apply your learning on the job.
  • You are a graduate from a recognized HCA/Personal Support Worker program.
  • You are currently enrolled in a nursing program or are an internationally certified nurse with one year of Canadian nursing/PSW experience.
  • Current registration and a good standing with the BC Care Aide registry.
  • Ability to complete the Vulnerable Sector Check.
  • Level 1 First Aid, CPR / AED Certificate.

Schedule:

Friday: Health Care Aide TEAM LEAD 8-4PM
Saturday: Health Care Aide/Medication Care Partner Float 7-3PM

Sunday: Health Care Aide/Medication Care Partner Float 7-3PM

Monday: Health Care Aide TEAM LEAD 8-4PM

As a Health Care Aide Team Lead working within the Health Care Aide some of your additional duties include but are not limited to:

  • Printing out resident PWPs.
  • Changing pendant batteries.
  • Updating shower/laundry schedules.
  • Updating pod sheets.
  • Filing resident binders -- such as discovery binder or wellness plan binder.
  • Confirming resident supply needs with RCPs.
  • Following up with TMs to ensure care stream for the day is signed off.
  • Providing updates to resident families.

As a Medication Care Partner, you will be responsible for administering meds to residents and training will be provided.
