Home Instead provides a variety of services that allow seniors to remain in their homes and meet the challenges of aging with dignity and compassion. Home Instead values their Home Health Aides and understands that highly motivated, productive, and confident staff are essential.

We provide homecare services in Leduc, Wetaskiwin, Spruce Grove, Stony Plain, Camrose, Ponoka, and surrounding areas. We care for our Care Pros as much as we care for our clients. We have a variety of shifts available from 4 to 12 hours.

Primary Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Companionship and conversation.
• Personal care.
• Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation.
• Medication administration after delegation and supervision by nurse.
• Transferring the patient using transfer belts and appropriate assistive devices.
• Alzheimer’s Care.
• Dementia care and management.
• Transportation to appointments, shopping, and errands.
• Treating and caring for aging adults and their property with dignity and respect.
• Communicating with clients in a friendly and compassionate manner.

Qualifications

• Ability to speak and write English
• HCA Certification
• Valid First Aid and CPR certification
• Previous experience is considered an asset
• Clean criminal record with vulnerable sector check
• Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
• Reference check
