Qualifications:

  • Active status on the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory.
  • Valid drivers license, automobile insurance and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Ability to meet physical demands of the job (i.e., lifting, bending, twisting, squatting).
  • Willingness to participate in team collaboration through team meetings, client review and interdisciplinary discussions.
  • Commitment to continued learning.

General Duties:

  • Provide personal support, assisting with the activities of daily living and providing comfort and emotional support services to clients.
  • Work closely with patients, families and other health care professionals.
  • Play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care.
  • Assist with medications on schedule.
