A health and safety organization in Ontario seeks a driven health and safety professional to assist clients with their Occupational Health and Safety journey. Responsibilities include delivering training, developing action plans, and providing consultations. Candidates should have a post-secondary education and at least 7 years of related experience, preferably in industrial, forestry, or mining sectors. A CRSP or CRST designation is required.

As part of a high-performing team, you will assist clients along their Occupational Health and Safety journey by supporting them in meeting their responsibilities and evaluating the quality of their programs and systems. You will help a variety of workplaces by providing efficient and outcome-oriented consultations as well as developing clear and concise action plans.
In addition to delivering high-impact training, facilitating meetings and delivering consulting services, you will also assist with developing health and safety solutions as a subject matter expert. You will also support the success of our team in meeting the requirements of our funder by following time entry and project tracking procedures.
You are well versed in adult education principles and program/system auditing, have project management skills, can conduct risk assessments, as well as an ability to provide coaching and facilitation as it relates to program planning, implementation, and evaluation. Your expertise and experience will allow you to deliver health and safety training and consulting services including, but not limited to, Competent Supervisor, Common Core Modules (Mining and Forestry), supporting the Health and Safety Excellence Program, Mining Train-the-Trainer, and CPO programs.
You are able to efficiently analyze complex situations, determine when additional technical support is required from your team, develop clear recommendations, and write concise and professional reports. Your ability to develop work plans and schedules, set and meet goals, and work with minimal supervision is complemented by your ability to tackle projects alone where required, as well as excel in a team atmosphere.
You have obtained a post-secondary education or equivalent combination of training/education, complemented with seven years (7) of health and safety related experience. Experience in the industrial, forestry and/or mining sector(s) is an asset. You possess intermediate computer skills and are comfortable with technology. You are safety conscious and have a valid driver’s licence and access to a safe and dependable vehicle. It is required that you are a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) or Technician (CRST) or have the ability to attain this designation.
