As a Health and Safety Manager, you’ll be at the heart of risk prevention and team protection on our worksites. Your expertise and commitment will ensure a safe working environment by implementing effective strategies and customized training.

You will develop and implement key safety initiatives, working closely with supervisors and field teams. From developing fall protection plans to overseeing equipment inspections, you’ll ensure that provincial and federal standards are rigorously applied. You’ll also analyze risks, coordinate audits, and promote a proactive safety culture.

Thanks to your hands-on approach, you will monitor incidents and propose corrective actions to continuously improve our practices. You will also play a key role in communication and coordination between various stakeholders, ensuring smooth integration of safety protocols.

Qualifications

  • Degree in health and safety, industrial relations, or related fields, or equivalent OHS management experience
  • 8 to 10 years’ OHS experience in construction and/or heavy industry
  • NCSO, CRST, CRSP certifications are assets
  • Willingness to travel as you will spend 75% of your time at Canam sites across Canada
  • Functional bilingualism in English and French for effective communication across Canada
