Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in HSE management roles, with at least 3 years in the construction industry.
- Certification as a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) is strongly preferred.
- Experience in managing or overseeing a Quality Management System (QMS) and its integration with HSE programs.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Ontario’s OHSA, WSIB processes, COR certification, and ISO 14001 standards.
- Certification as a National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) is an asset.
- In-depth understanding of provincial and federal HSE regulations, with experience managing HSE systems in construction environments.
- Proven leadership and team management skills with a track record of mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
- Proficiency in overseeing incident reporting, risk management, hazard assessment, and audit management systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Proficiency in HSE management software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.
