Job Description

Your life at Canam
As a Health and Safety Coordinator, you’ll be at the heart of risk prevention and team protection on our worksites. Your expertise and commitment will ensure a safe working environment by implementing effective strategies and customized training.

You will develop and implement key safety initiatives, working closely with supervisors and field teams. From developing fall protection plans to overseeing equipment inspections, you’ll ensure that provincial and federal standards are rigorously applied. You’ll also analyze risks, coordinate audits and promote a proactive safety culture.

Thanks to your hands-on approach, you will monitor incidents and propose corrective actions to continuously improve our practices. You will also play a key role in communication and coordination between the various stakeholders, ensuring smooth integration of safety protocols.

In a dynamic and collaborative environment, you will have the opportunity to develop innovative solutions and participate in the evolution of industry best practices. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in health and safety, industrial relations, related fields or equivalent OHS management experience
  • 8 to 10 years’ OHS experience in construction and/or heavy industry
  • NCSO, CRST, CRSP certifications, an asset
  • Functional bilingualism in English and French to communicate with colleagues across Canada
