Health and Safety Advisor or Administrator for Sparwood Valley (EVR Projects)

Employer Chemco Electrical Contractors Ltd., Chemco Energy Ltd., Chemco Engineering Ltd.

Salary: $40.00/hour

Terms: Permanent, Full-Time

Start Date: May 2025

Requirements
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience in the construction safety field.
  • National Construction Safety Officer designation is a minimum requirement for the advisor position. Experienced HSE Administrators will also be considered.
  • Civil construction experience is an asset.
  • Knowledge of OH&S legislation and best practices.
  • Knowledge of Worker Compensation and BC legislation and reporting requirements.
  • Intermediate computer skills, including Excel, Word, Outlook, PDF reader, etc.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to positively engage the public.
Duties
  • Committed to safety as a value and providing leadership to achieve an incident and injury-free workplace.
  • Completing field-level inspections and compliance monitoring of craft.
  • Reporting to the site safety manager and communicating significant EH&S issues and concerns.
  • Maintaining a positive team approach with supervision.
  • Providing support, leadership, and resources to assist management in implementing and administering the E.H.&S. Program.
  • Ensuring all supervisory staff understand the E.H.&S. Program and relevant government regulations.
  • Delivering New-Hire Orientation and assisting employees with payroll documentation.
