Description

Job Title: Head, SBS IMPLEMENTATION

The Sr. Director, Implementation reporting to the VP/GM Small Business Segment (SBS), the incumbent leads professional, technical and administrative teams in SBS Implementation function. Ensures that the IS organization implements all sold business units within forecasted time frames and within project budget. Provides support and consults with the Sales organization during the presale process to determine pricing and product implementation strategy. This is a leader of leader position where the incumbent is accountable for the ongoing coaching mentoring, and engagement results for the specified division. Also, contributes to division initiatives through task force and project assignments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Leads the Implementation Organization ensuring that all sold business units and transfer business is implemented within forecasted time frames and within the scope of the project budget. Ensures that billable hours are accurately forecasted and that division IS productively objectives are met. Responsible for the success of the Department's Implementation services and ultimate client satisfaction as measured through implementation survey scores as a Referenceable client base.
  2. Plans for department expenses, resources and capital requirements and manages the department to achieve forecasted and planned financial results. Works with the Finance to maintain accurate start and implementation backlogs and forecast reports.
  3. Works with Sales to impact the "buy" decision. Presents Implementation strategy and methodology at high level sales calls. Responsible for ensuring that accurate and timely estimates are provided to the sales associates and that the Implementation methodology is properly communicated to the client. Assists in the resolution of escalated sales/client issues.
  4. Works closely with Sales Management and Finance to develop pricing proposals that meet the goals of ADP Canada and the client.
  5. Works closely with Client Service and Operations Leadership to insure a smooth hand-off of accounts from implementation to service and production. Participates in strategic planning for the organization.
  6. Participates in Divisional initiatives to improve process, communicate issues. Acts as liaison between various stakeholders for issues that impact sales, the implementation process and tools. Routinely reports on status of starts, IS productivity, expense, and IS training and development.
  7. Responsible for the client education training program. Ensures that high quality training is provided timely for all products and that new product training is delivered within division timeframes and standards. Ensures that proper billing policies are followed.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or other related field and the resultant knowledge and experience from at least 12 years of management experience, including 3-5 years supervising a large staff (25+) professionals.

A background in consulting and professional services would be preferred however any of the following would be considered: systems implementation management, Client Service management, Human Resources, Payroll or Financial systems.

Accreditation from appropriate organizations would be an assets.

Demonstrated success at leadership of a large professional staff. Demonstrated success at recruiting, hiring and retaining a highly marketable and competitive staff. Proven ability to mentor, coach and counsel associates. Demonstrated success in developing bench strength and identifying successors.

Experience with developing and managing to a department expense budget.

Experience in a highly technical systems environment

Experience in working with a highly motivated and dynamic sales organization. Experience in managing relationships/partnerships with clients and third-party suppliers. Experience in developing and/or re-engineering process for delivery of client services and/or implementation services.
