About the role:

As the Head of Valuations, Advisory and Debt Services Canada, you’ll be responsible for leading a team of real estate valuation and debt advisor professionals in growing market share, revenue, and profitability for sustainable long-term success. In this role, you will play a crucial role in setting the national business strategy, business development, client engagement, leading the team and recruiting top talent in the region.

What you will do…
  • Oversee and lead existing and future valuation and tax managers, professionals, and producers across Canada.
  • Develop and execute a cohesive multi-disciplinary strategy. Set targets and broad strategies for a large, multi geography business, owning the execution and P&L results and managing near and long-term investment trade-offs.
  • Manage multiple offices and services. This includes valuation, tax, research, debt and other valuation related reports and studies.
  • Responsible for the bottom-line profitability and return of revenue for the country’s Valuation & Advisory Operations and Debt Advisory Operations.
  • Actively and continuously recruit future top performers to grow the business.
  • Focus on new clients and expand existing relationships to drive and grow our business. Develop strategies to increase Colliers’ institutional client portfolios.
  • Lead the budget planning process. Ensure the team's actions are consistent with organizational values, strategic plan, policies, practices and procedures. Manage costs and allocate resources.
  • Set and meet annual project goals including client deliverables, financial performance and efficient use of all Colliers resources.
  • Develop, inspire and coach teams and leaders. Create and maintain an engaged, inclusive and diverse workforce within the region.
  • Reinforce our employee value proposition. Ensure employee development and continuous improvement, encourage employee satisfaction and retention of key talent.
  • Maintain ongoing client communication. Conduct project reviews and undertake issue resolution. Support the assessment of client satisfaction and monitor the performance of quoted delivery times across the region.
  • Encourage advisors to promote and develop outbound referrals in the Colliers network.
  • Expand on our "service-excellence" culture.
What you bring
  • Degree and/or diploma in business, finance, real estate, or related fields.
  • 15-20 years of experience, preferably in commercial real estate.
  • Proven track record of exceeding targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Exceptional relationship building experience with clients and recruitment.
  • Prior P/L responsibilities.
  • AACI designation is considered an asset.
