Job description

Head of Specialty Services

We are looking for an experienced senior manager to lead the development, execution, and continuous improvement of a centralized organization that supports our largest clients, service teams, and implementation teams.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the overall operation of the Specialty Services group, including implementation of new business and all service delivery aspects, and act as the escalation point for service or implementation issues.
  • Direct identification, analysis, and development of business cases for new business opportunities and service model optimization.
  • Create a high-performing team environment that supports associate accountability, development, and retention; coach and develop leaders.
  • Provide direct leadership to approximately 300 associates globally across production, quality, and service of specialty products.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous business improvement and ensure they are addressed appropriately.
  • Develop the annual budget, including headcount plan, productivity goals, and other expenses.
  • Approve expenditures within established guidelines and control expenses.
  • Set and communicate strategic goals for the group; develop tactical plans; engage leadership and communicate the service vision.
  • Perform other related duties such as participation on business councils, strategic initiatives, acquisitions, alliances, and stretch assignments.
Requirements
  • 7–10+ years of senior management experience.
  • Excellent planning, organizing, and leadership skills with experience managing business operations to maximize revenue and profit.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial practices and prior P&L responsibility preferred.
  • Experience developing and executing strategic plans.
  • Basic understanding of payroll operations, business consulting, and/or solution center operations.
  • Ability to develop and test business hypotheses and make fact-based decisions using data.
