The Position

PTQ ensures we deliver high-quality products to patients, maintains our right to operate, and helps us create value through process excellence and continual improvement efforts. Quality is a competitive advantage for Roche.

The Head of Quality Process Management will be accountable for the strategic design, maintenance, and ongoing compliance of Quality-owned processes such as APQR, Complaints, Deviations, and CAPAs. It supports translating requirements into operational processes and designing metrics for performance control. The role involves driving efficiencies and automation, harmonizing and simplifying processes, and enhancing data collection for better insights. This position is a key pillar for PTQ to promote proactive compliance and effectiveness.

Lead a global team of approximately 40 professionals, including SMEs and technical experts supporting quality processes and deliverables.

The Opportunity

You will define, establish, and maintain robust Quality-owned processes across Roche’s Quality, Compliance, and Pharma Technical network. Your responsibilities include ensuring processes are compliant, efficient, and easy to execute. Key tasks include:

• Streamlining and simplifying quality processes while maintaining high standards of compliance
• Designing frameworks for real-time process visibility via metrics and dashboards
• Championing automation through digital tools to improve data integrity and process consistency
• Embedding LEAN principles to foster a culture of continuous improvement
• Collaborating with teams to integrate Quality Management System (QMS) improvements and regulatory requirements into Roche’s digital ecosystem
• Partnering with manufacturing sites, External Quality, and Development teams for effective process execution
• Providing expertise, tools, and guidance to build organizational capability in quality process management
• Supporting scalable, automated data solutions for transparent, real-time decision-making

Who you are

You hold a Bachelor's degree with 15 years, Master's with 13 years, or PhD with 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related fields. Additionally, you:

• Have extensive leadership experience in quality within the pharmaceutical/biotech industry, ideally in global and site roles
• Are a people leader skilled in multicultural and virtual environments, capable of leading change and transformation
• Have deep knowledge of quality processes
• Are an inclusive leader passionate about data insights and organizational data utilization
