Dynamic, fast-paced and supportive, this role will help bring Skip’s culture to life across Canada through unique in-office experiences. The right candidate has excellent initiative, sense of urgency and follow-through, and the ability to forge internal connections to bring creative and innovative facilities solutions. They’ll work with the site-based Facilities Team to ensure smooth operation of each location, providing a safe, secure, and engaging office experience for all Canadian employees.

What’s On Your Plate

  • Proactively research and benchmark ideas to continuously improve the workplace experience based on internal knowledge and outside workplace trends
  • Manage fitout, lease, property maintenance, and facilities for new and existing offices
  • Develop and improve tools, policies, and processes to enhance Skip’s workplaces
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development to direct reports while building your own management skills
  • Demonstrate holistic thinking for Skip’s workplaces, stakeholders, and culture
  • Work with the Health & Safety Advisor to oversee policies, procedures, and equipment to meet safety standards across all locations
  • Oversee project management for facilities, collaborating with the Project Coordinator to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Deliver high engagement and experience for visitors and team members across all offices

Additional Qualifications

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to Facilities Senior Leadership
  • Identify and own strategic projects while managing daily operations
  • Oversee on-site facility vendors to follow building protocols
  • Manage pantry needs, vendor relationships, budget tracking, and inventory
  • Coordinate with external suppliers and vendors to resolve maintenance and service issues

Recipe For Success

  • At least 5+ years of workplace, employee experience, and facilities management experience in a medium to large organization
  • Strong project, contract, and lease management skills, including budget control
  • Experience collaborating across business units to meet company goals
  • Extensive experience managing large projects in Commercial Real Estate
  • Hands-on approach with excellent communication skills
  • Occasional off-hours work and travel may be required
