Job description

Join us to build a more rewarding financial future for all Canadians

At Neo, we’re on a mission to build a more rewarding financial future for all Canadians. Life at a rapidly expanding tech startup isn’t for everyone. It’s complex, fast-paced, high-pressure, but also incredibly fulfilling. Since its founding in 2019, Neo has gained incredible traction and is one of the fastest-growing fintech companies in Canada.

  • LinkedIn’s Top Startup in Canada for 2022 and 2023
  • Top-ranked mobile apps and credit cards
  • Team of 700+ people
  • 1M+ customers

The Role

Neo Financial is hiring a full-time Head of Product, Lending, to lead our lending vertical from Calgary, AB OR Toronto, ON. You will own the strategy, roadmap, and performance of our lending products, driving customer credit experience, credit usage, and Risk-Adjusted Interest Margin (RAIM) optimization. You will lead a high-performing product team and will operate at both strategic and executional levels to shape experiences that resonate with customers and deliver measurable business results.

What you'll be doing:

  • Define a clear, strategic vision for the Lending product vertical aligned with company goals and metrics.
  • Lead the full product lifecycle: from structured discovery and validation through to scoping and agile execution.
  • Manage and grow a team of experienced product managers and product leaders (e.g., GPMs, Lead PMs), fostering accountability, clarity, and high performance.
  • Build deep expertise across the banking product stack—spanning customer experience, technology, operations, and compliance.
  • Use data, user research, and market signals to make strategic decisions, validate assumptions, and uncover opportunities.
  • Coordinate closely with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, growth, operations, and credit risk) to deliver scalable, intuitive solutions.
  • Champion velocity, impact, and clarity, setting the standard for decision-making and product thinking within the vertical.

Who we are looking for:

  • 10+ years of experience in product management, including 5+ years building and scaling digital banking or financial services products.
  • 5+ years of experience leading senior product talent and developing product leaders within a high-performance environment.
  • A track record of building and scaling lending products with measurable outcomes in credit usage, balance growth, and RAIM.
  • Deep familiarity with structured product development frameworks (discovery, validation, scoping) and a bias toward testing assumptions early.
  • Strategic mindset with high operational acumen—you can anticipate problems, prioritize what matters, and align cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working within regulated environments and translating complex requirements into elegant product experiences.

We trust, respect, and support each other. This means honest conversations, constructive input, and continuous support. You’ll be surrounded by people who push you to be your best. We primarily collaborate in person across our Calgary, Winnipeg, and Toronto offices. As we evolve rapidly, we’re looking for change-makers who thrive on challenge—people who would rather blaze a trail through uncertainty than follow a well-paved path.

All team members have a stake in Neo’s success and earn meaningful equity through stock options. This ownership mindset is at the heart of everything we do — when Neo grows, we all grow. If you’ve heard that Neo employees work hard, it’s true. We hold ourselves accountable for delivering on our commitments to our customers, partners, and each other.
