Job summary

Oratomic is seeking a Head of Procurement to build and lead purchasing operations essential for accelerating the development of a fault-tolerant quantum computer. This onsite role in Pasadena focuses on end-to-end procurement, supplier relations, and timely delivery of components.

You will own the procurement process, manage quotes, track shipments, invoices, and payments while collaborating with scientists and engineers to anticipate needs and optimize speed, cost, and reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience leading procurement for complex hardware or scientific equipment.
• Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
• Ability to coordinate cross-functionally with R&D and operations.

Job description

Oratomic is on a mission to build the world's first fault-tolerant quantum computer.

We're looking for a Head of Procurement to build and lead our purchasing operations, ensuring we can acquire the equipment and components needed to build the quantum computer as quickly and efficiently as possible. You will manage the entire procurement process, from placing orders and obtaining quotes to tracking shipments, coordinating international purchases, and managing invoices and payments. You'll work closely with our scientists and engineers to anticipate purchasing needs, resolve delays, and develop strong relationships with vendors and suppliers. We're looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of getting things done, and is always looking for ways to make procurement faster and more efficient.

Compensation:

• $200,000-$300,000/year depending on experience
