Head of Procurement

A Leading Infrastructure Contractor is looking for a Head of Procurement to develop and deploy a national procurement strategy that achieves business goals and objectives, you will:

• Own the “end to end” procurement process from tendering through to project delivery.
• Lead on supply chain management and strategic procurement activities.
• Lead strategic reviews and promote collaboration with key suppliers and subcontractors.
• Part of the senior leadership team, presenting reports and analytics to Directors.
• Manage senior internal stakeholders supply chain requirements.
• Champion and actively promote the use of key supplier agreements across all UK group companies.

Leading a team across project procurement and supply chain management activities. Managing director level stakeholders across the company and clients.

Candidate Requirements

Demonstrable track record of successfully delivering a regional or national procurement strategy. Minimum of 5+ years strategic procurement experience for an infrastructure contractor, across the highways, rail or utilities sectors. Ideally you will currently be working as a Head of Procurement, or an experienced Senior Procurement Manager who is looking for career progression. Must have experience of leading and developing procurement teams. Strong negotiation, supplier management and communication skills. Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at director level. Highly resilient, with gravitas and strength of character to ensure strategies are successfully delivered. Demonstrable track record of achievements from previous jobs. Relevant degree or CIPS is desirable.
