Managing the business unit direct material and subcontract spend. Supporting operational and strategic procurement activities across national highways projects. Leading a team across project procurement and supply chain management activities. Managing director level stakeholders across the company and clients.
Demonstrable track record of successfully delivering a regional or national procurement strategy. Minimum of 5+ years strategic procurement experience for an infrastructure contractor, across the highways, rail or utilities sectors. Ideally you will currently be working as a Head of Procurement, or an experienced Senior Procurement Manager who is looking for career progression. Must have experience of leading and developing procurement teams. Strong negotiation, supplier management and communication skills. Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at director level. Highly resilient, with gravitas and strength of character to ensure strategies are successfully delivered. Demonstrable track record of achievements from previous jobs. Relevant degree or CIPS is desirable.
