The Head of Medical is a strategic country-level leadership role, responsible for leading and building the medical affairs organization and developing the scientific and medical strategy to support the success of Allergan Aesthetic in the country within the Aesthetic portfolio. As a member of the relevant brand teams and the extended country leadership team, the AMD acts as the link between R&D and the local country team via the Sub regional medical director.

This role involves leading the country aesthetic medical affairs, managing Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) and Scientific Advisors (SAs). It requires a thorough understanding of all aspects of medical affairs relevant to the country, including late-stage development activities, pre- and post-launch medical activities, and the development and execution of core scientific programs to ensure successful product launches.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Development and execution of country-level medical plans: Work strategically and operationally to align country medical plans with global strategies and commercial plans.
2. Building relationships with opinion leaders and external organizations: Maintain credible relationships with top-tier opinion leaders, academic centers, and external organizations to ensure access to current scientific information.
3. Building and maintaining a strong local medical team: Recruit, retain, and mentor high-potential team members, fostering a culture of learning and development.

Additional responsibilities cover strategic leadership, external engagement, team management, and ensuring compliance with standards and regulations. The role also involves developing relationships with key stakeholders, participating in medical congresses, and leading the medical team to achieve organizational goals.
