DescriptionAbout the Position
Reporting to the Executive General Manager Corporate Services this is your chance to make a significant impact and drive the environmental programs and outcomes for our business. You will be overseeing our group of farm, feedlot, processing, and corporate facilities.
As a technical expert, you will provide authoritative advice to senior stakeholders on all environmental matters, including improvement opportunities, compliance, incident response, and best practices. You will also lead a passionate team responsible for maintaining our farm and grounds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all environmental functions across Bindaree Food Group.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, legislative, and customer environmental expectations.
- Develop, implement, and monitor our Environmental Management System.
- Develop and execute a strategic environmental planto meet regulatory requirements, drive sustainability, and improve performance across the group.
- Pursue continuous improvements in the efficiency of energy use, waste management, and water consumption.
- Oversee the collection and analysis of environmental monitoring data.
- Lead projects and collaborate with external consultants when necessary.
- Actively participate in driving initiatives as a key member of our Sustainability Committee.
About You:
- Proven experience in an environmental leadership role, ideally in a multi-site manufacturing or heavy industry organisation.
- Previous experience in the red meat or agricultureindustryis highly regarded.
- Previous experience inwastewater treatment is highly regarded
- A technical expert with tertiary qualifications in Environmental Management, Science, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience managing EPA licenses and environmental regulatory functions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including formal report writing experience.
- A passion for data and high-level data literacy, with experience in collecting environmental data and providing meaningful analysis.
- Ability to nurture and build positive relationships with stakeholders to achieve results
