About the Role

Koyfin has achieved strong product-market fit and profitable growth. The next phase is about scaling our technology, team, and innovation capacity to serve millions of investors globally.

We’ve gone from 0 to 1, and now we’re going from 1 to 100. As Head of Engineering, your mission is to evolve Koyfin’s architecture and organization to deliver greater velocity, reliability, and technical leverage as we scale. You’ll work closely with the executive team to bring innovative features to life, ensure performance and reliability, and maintain the craftsmanship that defines the Koyfin experience.

Our product is loved, our growth is strong, and our challenge is scale. This role is for a builder who thrives on turning great engineering into lasting advantage, shaping not just our technology but also our culture and company trajectory.

What you’ll be doing
  • Define and execute Koyfin’s technical strategy across front-end, back-end, and infrastructure to deliver a fast, reliable, and visually rich analytics experience
  • Scale our architecture and data systems to handle growing user demand, large‑scale market data ingestion, and global performance optimization
  • Lead, manage, and grow the engineering organization, building a strong leadership layer and clear paths for career development
  • Partner with Product and Design to shape the roadmap, set delivery priorities, and ensure each release meets high standards of usability and technical excellence
  • Develop a long‑term technical roadmap that aligns with business growth and product expansion goals
  • Evolve Koyfin’s platform toward modular, scalable services that support new data sources, analytics, and AI‑driven insights
  • Implement engineering processes that improve code quality, development velocity, and system reliability, including CI/CD, observability, and release practices
  • Build a strong engineering leadership team and mentor emerging managers
  • Define clear career paths, hiring strategies, and performance frameworks that balance speed, ownership, and technical excellence
  • Foster a culture of accountability, curiosity, and craftsmanship
  • Own security, compliance, and data governance with a focus on SOC 2 readiness and secure architecture
  • Deliver key infrastructure and performance improvements to support 3x user growth while maintaining reliability and uptime
  • Manage engineering budgets and vendor relationships to ensure smart, sustainable technical investments
What We’re Looking For

You’re a product‑minded technical leader who thrives on building teams, systems, and culture that scale. You balance pragmatism and vision, knowing when to move fast and when to build for the long term.

  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering, including 5+ years in engineering leadership roles (Head of Engineering, Director, or VP level)
  • Proven experience scaling SaaS or B2C web platforms, ideally in fintech or data‑driven products
  • Deep technical background in web application architecture (React, Node.js, TypeScript, Python, or similar)
  • Strong grasp of infrastructure, DevOps, and cloud systems (AWS or Google Cloud)
  • Track record of building, mentoring, and retaining high‑performing engineering teams
  • Excellent communicator who can partner effectively with founders, PMs, and designers
  • Passion for product quality, user experience, and operational excellence
  • Experience managing distributed or remote‑first teams
  • Alignment with our values: Customer First, Humility & Respect, Teamwork, Continuous Improvement, and GSD (“Get Sh*t Done”)
What we offer
  • A culture of openness, curiosity, and high performance where ideas win on merit and bureaucracy stays low
  • A fully remote, results‑driven team that ships fast and learns directly from users
  • Competitive compensation including stock options
  • Full benefits package including medical, dental, and 401k contributions
  • A product‑led company that trusts its people and values craftsmanship
  • High‑performance gear and resources to support your productivity
