WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

The Head of Digital Media - Global will be a key leader responsible for defining and executing DECIEM's global paid media strategy for brands like The Ordinary and NIOD. We're looking for a strategic visionary with expertise in performance marketing, a passion for innovation, and a proven track record of driving ROI across diverse global markets. The role involves leading a high-performing team, managing agency and regional partnerships, and optimizing our global digital footprint.

This is a hybrid role based two days a week at our Liberty Village, Toronto office.

WHAT YOU’D BE DOING IN THIS ROLE
  • Develop and execute the paid media strategy (search, social, display, video, programmatic) across 7 global DTC markets.
  • Establish governance with regional brand directors, influencing paid media strategies for key retailers (e.g., Sephora, Ulta, Amazon) and ensuring cohesive global initiatives.
  • Build and maintain a fully optimized, multi-language global paid digital media presence, considering performance, cultural nuances, and market dynamics.
  • Manage a substantial global media budget, adjusting based on performance insights and market needs.
  • Implement rigorous tracking, reporting, and continuous improvement strategies on key metrics like ROAS, CLTV, CPA, CVR, and Revenue.
  • Foster a culture of A/B testing and experimentation across audiences, creative, messaging, and platforms.
  • Collaborate with platform partners, creative teams, and brand teams to ensure seamless alignment and leverage advanced CDP capabilities for personalized messaging.
  • Lead external paid media agencies, setting performance expectations, overseeing execution, and managing budgets.
  • Build relationships with senior leaders across various teams to optimize customer flows and search performance.
  • Identify and evaluate emerging media channels, technologies, and industry best practices; lead test pilots and market expansion initiatives.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • 8+ years in global digital paid media leadership, managing large budgets and ROI in fast-paced DTC/retail environments (beauty/CPG preferred).
  • Deep expertise in paid media strategies for DTC and major retailers, understanding channel dynamics.
  • Proficiency in platforms like Google Ads, Meta Ads, TikTok, and programmatic advertising.
  • Experience with Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) for messaging and personalization.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and drive continuous testing and improvement.
