Job description

Our client, Velan, is seeking a dynamic and motivated Head of Department, After-Sales Service to join their team in Ville St-Laurent!

This position involves managing a team of skilled parts ordering representatives to provide required quotes and manage orders across Velan’s global network of distributors and end customers in various global markets, driving after-sales growth.

Main Responsibilities
  • Supervise Resources: Manage quote and order fulfillment teams, meeting deadlines and key performance indicators (KPIs);
  • Optimize Processes: Continuously improve processes to maximize efficiency;
  • Collaborate Globally: Work with Global Sales to increase bookings;
  • Lead the Team: Ensure order fulfillment and provide updates to customers;
  • Interdepartmental Coordination: Collaborate with various departments to ensure order delivery and develop recovery plans;
  • Customer Focus: Promote courteous and customer-centric communication practices;
  • Strategic Development: Contribute to strategic growth plans aligned with company initiatives;
  • Margin Management: Implement global pricing, manage margins, and evaluate individual performance;
  • Business Organization: Ensure the implementation of all department activities.

If the following describes you:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field;
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in an industrial environment;
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel (data analysis, pivot tables);
  • Good understanding of project management concepts (scope, cost, schedule);
  • Eligible for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP);
  • Bilingualism (French and English), both written and spoken.
