Job summary

Bouthillette Parizeau inc. is seeking a Building Structure Director to plan, supervise, and develop structural engineering activities in the Gatineau region. You’ll oversee project quality, budgets, and schedules while growing the team and portfolio.

The role requires 10–15 years in structural engineering with at least 5 years in management, mastery of ETABS/SAP2000/ADA/SAFI, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Education: Civil or Building Eng with structural emphasis.
• 10–15 years in structural engineering, incl. 5+ years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of structural design and relevant codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the structural engineering team.
• Ensure design, verification, and drawings for steel, concrete, wood, and mixed structures.
• Participate in strategic planning and business development.
• Coordinate with architecture, mechanical, electrical, and civil teams.
• Ensure compliance with Quebec Building Code and CSA standards.
• Oversee technical specifications, reports, and cost estimates.
• Maintain client and partner relationships; manage staff recruiting and training.
• Stay current with technical and regulatory developments.
