The Enterprise Architecture team is pivotal in defining the technological and structural direction of the organization. Their mandate includes designing, developing, governing, and driving the global technology strategy for the Bank.
This role offers significant exposure, working closely with senior executives, business and technology line leaders, and a diverse array of stakeholders. Responsibilities include assessing current capabilities and developing target state architectures for business domains that align with the company’s business goals, ensuring IT systems and infrastructure deliver value and drive innovation. Additionally, responsible for a small team of Senior Principal Architects leading the execution of key initiatives, collaborating closely with technology teams to bring the strategy to fruition.

Strategy Development
- Work with Senior leadership, business partners and other technology stakeholders to develop vision, strategy and focus areas for transformation.
- Work with technology teams to understand current state gaps, future state capabilities needed and industry landscape
- Lead the prioritization and development of implementation roadmaps aligned to defined target states to address gaps and ensure solutions are in line with enterprise vision
Transformational Leader
Lead one or more large scale technology initiatives from inception to execution working with technology teams across the BankAssist teams to develop viable business cases focusing on moving towards target state technology architecture and capabilities. Activities include developing target state reference architecture, gap analysis, initiative cost / benefit analysis, hardware / software costs, resource forecasting etc.Lead project workstreams, including leading problem-solving sessions, workshops and interviews with cross-functional and business line working team members and subject matter expertsProvide guidance to project delivery teams to develop integrated project plans including adequate work breakdown structure, key inter-dependencies, milestones, and resource allocationStakeholder Management
Present and communicate with our CTO, engineering heads and other senior leaders on an ongoing basis to gather feedback, report progress and solve issuesWork closely with technical teams and SMEs to ensure technology initiatives are aligned to strategies and target, and deliver value identified at inceptionWork closely with non-technology teams including business lines, HR, Finance and Risk to ensure technology initiatives are meeting business needs and are integrated within the bank effectivelyPeople Leadership
Lead and coach a high performing team of individualsDirect, motivate and develop the team, to ensure maximum contributions from each member and considering their professional growthShare knowledge and collaborate with others within the team and with other teams across the Bank to ensure effective delivery of projectsDo you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? 10 years of experience in technology / architecture leadership, management consulting or corporate strategy is preferred.Focus on technology consulting in various domains banking, i.e. retail, commercial, wealth management and global markets is an asset.Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, challenging, and dynamic business environmentSuperior interpersonal skills, leadership, and influential capabilitiesSelf-motivated; work both independently and collaboratively with multi-functional teams, as both a leader and memberPrior experience and deep knowledge within the technology domain is a must (e.g., IT & Digital strategy, operating model, enterprise architecture, complex technology delivery, IT innovation)Good knowledge of the specific technology challenges relevant to Banking industry (e.g. retail banking platforms, customer platforms) with a sound understanding of current banking business trends and their implications for technologyExceptional planning and analytical skills, ability to discern research information / data and focus on the critical business issuesHighly developed relationship management skills to effectively manage relationships across the Bank, partners, and external vendorsExceptional presentation and written communication skillsProven track record delivering innovative solutions from concept to change managementUndergraduate degree in business or engineering; graduate business degree / MBA is a strong assetExcellent knowledge with MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPointWhat's in it for you?
