Job summary

The Lodge at Arrow Lakes, a CMH Heli-Skiing & Summer Adventures property, is seeking a Head Chef to lead the culinary team for the Tavern and heli-ski operation. You will design menus, supervise preparation, and ensure top-tier guest experiences in a luxury setting.

Ideal candidates hold a Red Seal Chef, culinary diploma, and Food Safe certification, with 3-5 years in culinary management and 2+ years in menu planning. Strong leadership and collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

  • Culinary diploma or certificate required with Red Seal certification preferred.
  • Red Seal Chef designation or equivalent is required.
  • Food Safe Certification is required.
  • 3-5 years of culinary management experience with varied exposure.
  • 2+ years in menu planning and execution; luxury or fine dining background is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day kitchen operations, including hiring, training, evaluating, and scheduling.
  • Oversee all stages of food handling for quality and safety.
  • Plan and coordinate menus with the culinary team.
  • Enforce OH&S standards and safe food handling practices.
  • Manage inventories, food costing, and rotations.
  • Develop creative, seasonal menus using local ingredients.
  • Provide exceptional guest experiences with front-of-house collaboration.
  • Support CMH health, safety, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Assist during emergencies and field program support as needed.
