Job Title: Head Chef (Full-Time, Permanent)
Location: Brampton, ON
Salary: $4,000 - $6,000/month (based on experience)
Cuisine: West Indian, Islamic/Halal, Italian, European
Start Date: Immediate / Urgent Requirement

We are urgently hiring a skilled and experienced Head Chef to manage the kitchen operations of a well-established restaurant in Brampton. This is a full-time, permanent position, offering a consistent work schedule at the same location every day. The successful candidate must have a strong background in West Indian, Halal, Italian, and/or European cuisine, with at least 5 years of full-time experience in a professional kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring consistent food quality and presentation
2. Lead, manage, and train kitchen staff
3. Design and execute menus for West Indian, Islamic (Halal), Italian, and European dishes
4. Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety
5. Manage inventory, food ordering, and cost control
6. Collaborate with front-of-house staff for smooth service flow
7. Ensure timely preparation and efficient service during busy hours

Requirements:

1. Minimum 5 years full-time experience as a chef or head chef
2. Specialization in at least two of the following cuisines: West Indian, Halal, Italian, European
3. Strong leadership, communication, and time management skills
4. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
5. Food Handler’s Certification (or willing to obtain)
6. Dependable, punctual, and committed to long-term employment
