Position Overview:

The Head Cashier supports the Front End Supervisor by motivating front end associates to follow GET behaviours and providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities include coaching, training, developing associates, scheduling coverage, and handling escalated customer issues.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Ensure customer satisfaction by demonstrating GET behaviours and maintaining positive morale.
2. Manage checkout lines to ensure efficiency.
3. Oversee front end operations, including ad execution and flyer readiness.
4. Observe and adjust staffing levels as needed.
5. Provide training, coaching, and recognition to associates.
6. Communicate goals and priorities from store leadership.
7. Maintain a clean and safe parking lot.
8. Manage backup cashiers and operate cash registers.
9. Assist with cash collection and security procedures.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, 1-2 years of retail or cash handling experience, and leadership experience. Physical requirements involve bending, reaching, lifting, and working in a noisy, dusty environment. The schedule may include evenings and weekends.
