Job summary

Michel's Bakery Cafe in North York, ON is seeking a Permanent, Full-time Baker Shop Supervisor to lead our bake shop and coffee shop operations. You will supervise 3-4 staff, prepare pastries for events, bake doughs and batters, frost cakes, and ensure quality meets our standards.

The role requires a College/CEGEP education, 7 months to less than 1 year of experience, and the ability to work on-site with flexible hours.

Qualifications

• College/CEGEP education required.
• Experience in bakery or pastry environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare pastries for special occasions and daily orders.
• Bake mixed doughs and batters.
• Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food.
• Prepare special orders and supervise baking personnel.
• Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods.
• Train staff and ensure product quality meets standards.
• Inspect kitchen and food service areas for safety and cleanliness.
• Operate baking machinery and manage inventory.
• Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
