Job summary

Aurum Truck & Trailer Ltd. in Edmonton, AB, seeks a full-time Journeyperson Truck and Trailer Heavy Duty Mechanic to service trucks and tanker trailers. The facility focuses on TC406/407 tanker trailers, with diagnostic work and power take-off handling as assets.

Boots and tool allowance, RRSP matching are provided. As a valued member of our maintenance team, you will perform PMs, electrical work, brakes, suspension, and engine diagnostics while adhering to safety policies and standard repair

Qualifications

• Journeyperson status required.
• Valid Class 5 Driver License required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights as needed.
• Proven diagnostic and tool-handling skills.

Responsibilities

• Professionally maintain equipment and perform repairs on trucks and trailers.
• Follow policies and safety procedures, use PPE as directed.
• Complete tasks within Standard Repair Time Guidelines and maintain fleet equipment.

Job description

Aurum Truck & Trailer Ltd. is seeking a full-time Journeyperson Truck and Trailer Heavy Duty Mechanic based in Edmonton, AB. Aurum Truck & Trailer is a newly constructed truck and trailer maintenance facility with a focus on TC406/407 tanker trailers.

About the Position:

• Trailer repair- PMs, electrical work, brakes, suspension & product pump rebuild.
• Tractor repair- PM's electrical work, brakes, suspension, engine diagnostics, general running repairs & Power Take-Off, and wet kit experience an asset.
• Basic tools required for the position.

Responsibilities:

• Professionally maintain equipment.

• Work safely, using directed PPE.
• Complete tasks in a timely fashion as per the Standard Repair Time Guidelines.
• Maintain fleet equipment.

• Strong and reliable work ethic.
• Positive attitude & job performance.
• Truck and or Trailer Journeyperson certificate required.

Requirements:

• Valid Class 5 Driver License.
• Journeyperson status required.
• May work above shoulder level with power and /or hand tools weighing 15 pounds or less and in confined spaces.
• Must meet the physical requirements of the position and have mobility, vision, hearing, sense of smell, and dexterity levels appropriate to the duties performed.
• May stand and walk on level and uneven surfaces, twist, bend, push, pull, crouch, climb stairs, bend and crawl, grasp, drag, lift, and carry items weighing 50 lbs. or less.
• Must be willing and able to work at heights up to 15 feet.

Schedule:

• Day Shift , 6:00am - 5:30pm, Wednesday to Wednesday, 8 days on / 6 days off
• Afternoon Shift, 11:30am - 10:00pm, Monday to Thursday, 8 days on / 6 days off

Wage:

• $46.82/hour
