Job summary

Bayshore HealthCare is seeking a dedicated Personal Caregiver in Edmonton to deliver in-home care and support to clients. You will perform homemaking, personal care, companionship, and mobility assistance, following individualized care plans with a focus on safety, dignity, and independence.

The ideal candidate has accredited caregiver training or equivalent experience, strong English communication, ability to lift 23 kg, and a clean background check.

Qualifications

• Completion of formal, accredited caregiver training program and/or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
• Strong knowledge of the principles of caregiving and customer service.
• Able to communicate effectively in spoken and written English.
• Physically able to assist clients (lift 23 kg) and perform activities of daily living.

Responsibilities

• Provide homemaking services (cleaning, cooking, laundry, household management).
• Offer companionship and accompany clients to community activities.
• Administer personal care per care plan directives.
• Ensure clients' comfort, safety, and well-being to high standards.
• Observe, document, and report changes in client condition promptly.
• Adhere to infection prevention practices.
