Job summary

Maple Leaf Foods Inc. is seeking a dependable individual to join our hatchery team in Ontario. You will participate in daily cleaning of chick boxes, assist with Inovo Egg transfer, and perform related sanitation tasks in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

The role requires lifting 30-50 lbs repeatedly, standing for long periods, and ability to work in wet/humid conditions. Flexibility to work holidays and summers is expected.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work additional hours during statutory holidays and summer vacation.
• Must be capable of lifting 30 - 50 lbs repetitively (overhead lifting required).
• Must be able to work in a wet/humid environment.
• Must be able to work in small groups with minimal supervision.
• Must be capable of standing for long periods.
• Must be able to lift 40 – 50 lbs repetitively overhead.
• Able to work in a fast paced and repetitive task environment.

Responsibilities

• Washing boxes and sanitation of box room and box washer.
• Assisting with Inovo Egg transfer as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dependable and motivated individual to join our hatchery team. Working as part of a team, the successful applicant will be part of a work rotation to complete the cleaning and disinfecting of chick boxes, assist with inovo egg transfer process (including cleaning and disinfecting rooms and equipment after work is completed.)

Hourly Rate: $21.06-$22.06
