Compensation Data

Compensation for this position ranges from $80,000 to $110,000 per year.

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Harvesting Superintendent, the applicant will be part of a highly enthusiastic and professional team. The Harvesting Supervisor will provide support and expertise in harvest supervision and construction to meet the requirements of LP’s Dawson Smartside facility.

In This Position You Will Have The Opportunity To

• Supervise harvesting, road construction, road maintenance, and deactivation activities.
• Participate in timber reconnaissance, layout, grass seeding, post-harvest assessments, and hazard abatement.
• Manage documentation and data.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable government regulations.
• Coordinate special projects as needed.
• Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations.
• Perform other duties as necessary.

What do I need to be successful?

• At least 3 years of forestry experience.
• Or any equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating the ability to perform key responsibilities.
• In-depth knowledge of forestry procedures and harvesting systems.
• Thorough knowledge of road construction and maintenance techniques, including deactivation.
• Knowledge of applicable government regulations.
• Basic forestry field skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated supervisory experience.
• Ability to operate ATVs.
• Class 5 Driver’s License required.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Forestry or a Forest Technician Diploma.
