Job description

Description

Reporting to the Harvesting Superintendent, as a Harvesting Supervisor, you will supervise all aspects of timber operations to ensure the smooth delivery of logs and fiber to our sawmill. To succeed in this role, we’re looking for someone who is passionate about forestry and ready to lead a team to success.


Qualifications
  • University Degree or Technical Diploma in Forestry (or related field), RPF, RFT, or eligible to enroll with the Forest Professionals of British Columbia.
  • At least 2 years of forestry experience in areas such as cruising, planning, harvesting, and silviculture.
  • A strong work ethic and love of the outdoors—this is a role where you’ll be working on the ground and in the forest.
  • Leadership experience is preferred, but we’re also open to investing in and developing the right candidate.
  • Strong communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Familiarity with BC forestry regulations and policies.
  • Computer skills and an aptitude for forestry-based technologies.
