Job summary

Lookout Housing and Health Society in Surrey, BC, is seeking a Harm Reduction Outreach Worker to support the Harm Reduction Program under the Program Manager. The position requires a related social services certificate (or Grade 12 with two years' related experience), current First Aid Level 1, and a Class 5 driver's license.

Qualifications

• Certificate in social services or equivalent combination with two years of related experience.
• Familiarity with harm reduction, addiction, mental health and social services.
• Current OFA Level 1, TB test negative and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and education of harm reduction programs and needle distribution.
• Assist staff with implementing harm reduction practices.
• Identify resources for clients and maintain records.
• Contribute to a safe, caring environment and respond to emergencies.
