As a hardware/tools associate, you will help customers understand their needs and assist in selecting the right products for their requirements. As knowledgeable sales professionals, sales associates can make recommendations that solve customers' problems and enhance their shopping experience.

Responsibilities

1. Drive sales through engagement of customers, suggestive selling, and sharing product knowledge.
2. Clarify and understand customers’ needs and guide them to the best solutions for their projects.
3. Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions.
4. Take initiative and confidently direct customer interactions.
5. Produce quotes, material lists, and follow up.
6. Demonstrate high standards of safety and customer service.
7. Resolve customer challenges quickly and efficiently.
8. Continuously learn about products and market conditions.

Qualifications

1. Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
2. Sales and customer service experience.
3. High attention to detail.
4. Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.
5. Availability to work days, evenings, and weekends (rotating shifts).
6. Ability to learn and operate the applicable computer system (D635) used to process orders.
7. Grade 12 diploma or equivalent considered an asset.
