Job description

picoTera is developing advanced noise cancellation, communication, and hearing protection systems.

We are looking for a talented electrical and computer engineer who can help us develop and debug new products.

Prospective applicants should have a solid background in electronic circuits theory and hands-on skills working with oscilloscopes, function generators, and other lab tools.

Another key skill we are looking for is soldering skills and the ability to debug common hardware issues. This can range from re-soldering a broken switch and improving designs for future releases to finding faulty ICs in malfunctioning hardware. We expect applicants to be very familiar with the soldering skills needed for SMD components.

Additionally, familiarity with Altium PCB design software is essential. Applicants should know how to start from a schematic, sync the project to PCB, and create a DRC-free PCB board. Concepts such as libraries, library components, and error-free project compilation should be well understood by applicants for this position.

Job Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Experience working with hardware and electronics
  • Familiarity with PCB Design and Altium Designer
  • Background experience with soldering and working with oscilloscopes
  • Knowledge of firmware programming
  • Teamwork and excellent work ethics
  • Ability to work on-site (in our office)

This position may be funded by the Digital Skills for Youth Program.

We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity.
