Job Description
Position: Hardware Developer Eng Student
Number of Positions: 1
Duration: 16 Months (possibly 12 Months)
Date: Sept 2, 2025 to Dec 18, 2026 (to Aug 28, 2026 if 12 Months)
Location: Onsite (Ottawa, Canada)
The IP Routing division leads the industry with the best Network Processor technology (FP5), QoS, parallel processing, Network Function Virtualization, and product quality. Products range from small CPE devices supporting a few low-speed Ethernet links to carrier-class and datacenter-class systems supporting terabits of routing capacity. Our world-leading technology enables us to offer customers 800GE and 1.6T links with unparalleled routing features.
Currently a 2nd or 3rd-year candidate for a bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering, or a related field with an accredited school in Canada.
As a student in the hardware group, you’ll collaborate with an experienced team that designs, builds, and maintains hardware solutions for Nokia's routing platforms. You’ll gain hands-on lab experience working alongside hardware developers on the latest prototype circuit boards. You’ll be paired with a 1-to-1 mentor—your go-to person for questions, feedback, insights into Nokia/team culture, and career conversations. This is an on-site position, and presence in the office is required.
